Hollywood A-listers have been given an ultimatum about attending this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
The Oscars are known for being the most iconic of the film ceremonies and is always the one to close awards season.
However, while events such as the Golden Globes and the Critics' Choice Movie Awards took place virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Academy Awards will not.
On Monday, This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby spoke to Sam Rubin in Los Angeles about the Oscars update.
"Very interesting note from producers to everyone in Hollywood or the global community," Sam explained.
"If you want to go to the Oscars, and this was written instruction to nominees, you must attend in person.
"Academy Awards say they’re going to take every possible precaution, not dissimilar to working movie sets.
"Lots of testing, I suspect they will make vaccinations available in advance, but they’re basically saying even if you’re weary of travelling, tough luck!"
Sam continued: "If you want to be involved with the Oscars, you have to show up in person.
"They’ve changed the venue. It will be at our downtown train station which is primarily open air and outdoors, as opposed to the Dolby Theatre, the traditional home, which is a closed in theatre," he added.
The Oscars will take place on Monday 26 April, and this is only the fourth time in history the ceremony has been postponed.
The others were following the Los Angeles flooding in 1938; after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968 and after the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan in 1981.
The 2021 Oscar nominations were announced last week, with Olivia Colman, Carey Mulligan and Vanessa Kirby leading the British charge at this year's ceremony.
The Borat sequel, starring British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, is also up for multiple awards, including Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting actress for Maria Bakalova.
Chadwick Boseman has also been nominated for a posthumous Oscar for his last film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
