Yes, yes, yes a million times yes!!! NSW finally has a proposed freedom plan for fully vaccinated residents when the state reaches 70% jabs.
The eased restrictions in this new plan would see bars, restaurants and gyms fully open to vaccinated individuals. The plan also includes an expansion of the “singles bubble”, according to The Australian.
The plan is still awaiting sign off from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian, but according to the publication that will likely occur next week.
However, vertical beers and getting sweaty at a nightclub are unlikely to happen until the state reaches 80 per cent coverage. Once NSW does reach that target, it’s expected that even non-vaccinated individuals will be able to access most venues.
Despite the increasing case numbers, high vaccination rates in the state are showing that there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel.
Today, the country passed 50% of the eligible population vaccinated, as well as hitting a vaccination daily record of 309, 010.
More good news: NSW is nearly at 5.5 million total jabs. Why is this good? Gladys Berejiklian set a target of six million jabs before by the end of August, at which point more restrictions will ease for the vaccinated population.
“NSW is up to 5.5 million jabs. When we get to 6 million jabs, those that are vaccinated will have the opportunity to do something that they can’t do now,” Berejiklian said.
If that isn’t a sign to go get jabbed, I don’t know what is.
