This is the huge new luxury hotel that is preparing to welcome guests to Manchester at its prominent city centre position on Portland Street.
The Clayton Manchester has now become Manchester's third biggest hotel, with 329 bedrooms spread over 17 floors inside its eye-catching white building on one of the city's main thoroughfares.
It brings with it an intriguing proposition not often seen at hotels in Manchester - with the majority of its rooms offering a double bed AND single bed as standard.

The "double single" rooms feature in 230 of the bedrooms - which bosses believe put it at an advantage for families as well as people visiting as a group to Manchester for breaks.
There are also superior and executive rooms for an added level of luxury - with most boasting stunning views out across Manchester city centre from the four star deluxe rated hotel.
Bosses at the Clayton are keen to welcome non-hotel guests into its vast public bar on the ground floor and restaurant on level one, both branded No. 55 - a nod to its street number.
There is also a floor dedicated to function rooms and boardroom facilities - with the largest, The Piccadilly Suite, able to cater for parties, events or conferences for up to 150.
The hotel will formally launch to the public from January 17, with an opening party and events in the city to mark its arrival taking place on January 19.
The huge new Clayton Manchester is the first of a raft of new hotel openings expected in Manchester city centre in 2022, including a sister site, the 278-bedroom Maldron Hotel, which is expected to open in the spring at a prominent site off Oxford Road.
Both Maldron and Clayton are owned by the Irish company Dalata, which is planning a rapid expansion of its hotel group across the UK and Ireland in 2022.
Here we take a look at some of the main features of the new Clayton Manchester hotel.
No. 55 Bar and Restaurant
Already becoming a landmark for those walking past the Clayton Hotel along Sackville Street and on to Portland Street, there's a huge public bar area on the ground floor as you walk through the airy reception.
The bar here serves a casual daytime menu as well as hot beverages and alcoholic drinks.
The area is set up for those needing to work - with a number of power points seen across tables, and free WiFi available to use for customers.
Up on the first floor is the hotel's No. 55 Restaurant, which, as well as providing the cooked buffet breakfasts for guests, will open in the evenings to visitors with a full a la carte menu.
The hotel's general manager, Filiz Smith, said: "We want to appeal to people who maybe just want to drop in for a coffee, or perhaps to use this as a workspace.
"And at weekends for people to walk in and say 'hey, it looks nice in there'.
"Because of our location here in the city centre and close to the Gay Village and Chinatown we're a great spot to meet for a cocktail or drinks on a night out."
The bar benefits from a huge airy space due to the modern design, and has great views out into town thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Meeting rooms
All named after the city's train stations, the Clayton's meeting rooms and conference suites are spread across the 2nd floor.
The largest, the Piccadilly Suite, can fit 149 theatre style, while there are a range of smaller options with the smallest, Victoria, comfortably fitting 15.
Bedrooms
There are a total of 329 bedrooms across the site - with the option of standard, superior and executive.
Opening rates range in price from £75 for standard rooms up to £270 for premium rooms depending on dates.
One of the big selling points for guests will be the sheer number of rooms that boast the "double single" option of a double bed AND single for the same room rate.
You can currently book a range of dates through February, March and April for up to three people to stay in one of the standard single double rooms from £100.
Superior and executive rooms boast king beds and chromecast TVs as standard and Nespresso coffee machines.
The gym
The hotel also boasts a gym for guests, which boasts an impressive view down to Chinatown, where you can dream about some amazing food while sweating off some calories on the exercise bikes or cross trainer.
The location and views
Based inside a huge new build right on the corner of Sackville Street and Portland Street, The Clayton is now neighbours with another relative newcomer, The Brooklyn Hotel.
It is around a seven minute walk to Piccadilly Train Station, and a two-minute walk to the nearest tram stop at St Peter's Square.
And, with guest rooms spread across 17 floors you can expect some pretty fantastic views out across Manchester.
