A new Home Bargains store is set to open in Merseyside.
The discount retailer is launching its newest store on the former Homebase site on Stephenson Way, just off the Formby Bypass.
Work has already started at the two-acre site with the former Homebase site, a purpose-built retail warehouse with a separate garden centre, being remodelled with the Home Bargains grey panelling.

Shoppers will be able to browse and buy the latest Home Bargains ranges from homeware and garden accessories to household groceries and toiletries.
The opening of the new superstore in June this year will also see the creation of many jobs for the area.
A spokesperson from Home Bargains told the ECHO: "Our new Formby store is due to open in June. As such, we will soon be recruiting upwards of 80 new staff members, including store supervisors, store assistants and store cleaners, and would encourage those interested to keep an eye on our careers website (jobs.homebargains.co.uk) for roles being advertised."
The new vacancies were also posted on the Home Bargains Jobs Facebook page, which excited potential shoppers.
One person messaged her friend and said: "!!!!!!! Look!" to which the friend replied: "Yes it's the old Homebase. Saw it today. Looks big," and the person replied: "Ooooh!"
A second person wrote also tagged a mate and wrote: "New shop," and the mate added: "Yeah it will be good to have a nearby Home Bargain!"
