Huge new Edinburgh Street Food market set for Leith Walk with stalls and bars

A new Edinburgh street food market will be coming to the capital next year as the company tells locals to “watch this space”.

Edinburgh Street Food will feature ten different traders and three bars as they set up along Leith Walk in the centre of the city. The new market will be opening on February 25, 2023 and the company is currently planning their launch.

This comes as the new market makes announcements for their dates on social media, telling people that there are 177 days to go until the event launches. The street food market will be held on Leith Walk, next to the Omni Centre and just a stone's throw away from the popular new St James Quarter.

While the line-up has not yet been announced and concrete details are thin on the ground, a website has been launched to give people a better look at the offerings. However, locals will need to check back later when more information has been announced.

Mock-ups of what the outdoor seating will look like have also been announced by the organisers. Showing lots of benches under faux turf canopies, nestled in the walkway next to the Omni Centre.

As well as outdoor seating, the market will also offer indoor bar areas. Featuring breweries from across the globe.

Announcing the dates for the market on social media, Edinburgh Street Food Said: “We are delighted to announce that we will be making our home on Leith Walk in the heart of Edinburgh, with the beautiful Calton Hill providing a stunning backdrop to both our indoor and outdoor seating areas.

“You will be able to choose from ten fantastic traders and two bars within a venue like no other, seven days a week from early till late. As well as some beautiful CGI images soon on their way, we’ve got details of our launch party to follow, so watch this space."
