Huge mass brawl breaks out in London street as man punched to ground

Shocking footage shows a mass fight break out in London, with brawlers branded "thugs" after the clip was viewed thousands of times on social media.

A group of men clashed in Stratford, in the east of the capital, in video that appears to have been taken over the Bank Holiday weekend.

In the clip, a man wearing a black T-shirt punches another man in the face, and he falls to the ground.

The scuffle continues nearby when other people step in, and another man falls to the ground – where he is kicked at.

Several men get involved in the tussle while other onlookers attempt to break things up.

It is unclear what happened after the video ends.

Another viewer was concerned by the lack of Covid-19 safety measures.

They said: “Let’s hope they see the error of their ways and wear masks next time they’re out and about.”

The Met Police has been contacted for comment, but no details were immediately available.
