Huge Liverpool transfer boost in Nicolas Pepe pursuit ahead of Lille exit this summer

Nicolas Pepe would like to move to Liverpool this summer, according to reports.

The Lille whizz kid has been attracting interest from a host of top European clubs this summer and is expected to leave Ligue 1.

Liverpool are among those who have been linked to his signature, although the Reds have moved to distance themselves from reports that they would like to sign him.

Pepe is delaying his decision this summer while his representatives wait to see if free-spending Paris Saint-Germain will make a money-spinning move.

But it is claimed in the French press that PSG are not Pepe's preferred destination.

L'Equipe claim that Pepe would be keen on a move to European champions Liverpool.

He is also said to be interested in a switch to Inter Milan, who have been linked with his signature.

Pepe has become one of the hottest properties in world football this summer after a stunning season with Lille in Ligue 1.

His goal tally of 22 was only bettered by PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.

However, despite Pepe's reported interest, Liverpool still might not move for him with it looking likely to be a quiet summer of Merseyside.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be happy with his side as it is and is only looking for minor changes to help bolster his squad this summer.

Liverpool have already welcomed youngster Sepp van de Berg, with similar signings expected to be the order of the transfer window.
