Huge inflatable theme park due to open in Swansea cancelled due to Storm Hannah

The UK's biggest inflatable theme park that was due to welcome families in Swansea this weekend has been cancelled due to bad weather.

England's biggest travelling inflatable theme park which features an inflatable village, bungee trampolines, a 'wipeout' area and a 100ft-long Noah's Ark was set to open at Riverside Holiday Park in Morriston on Saturday, April 27.

However organisers have been left with no choice but to cancel the event - the first in Wales for the park - as Storm Hannah hits Wales bringing heavy rain and gusts of up to 65mph.

They have said the park will open on Sunday and extra days next week to make up for missing the opening day.  The park is also due to open on  Saturday, May 4-Monday, May 6 2019 but organisers have urged people to check for any cancellations due to strong winds.

A yellow weather warning is in place for large parts of Wales from 9pm on Friday until 3pm on Saturday.

A statement on the park's Facebook page said: "Due to high winds forecast Saturday 27th April we will be closed.

"Sunday 28th we will be open as normal, we are also opening Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd May 4pm-8pm to make up for not opening Saturday. We believe these days will be the 2 quietest days for those asking about when is quietest time to visit."

It features around 15-20 inflatables (Inflatable Theme Park UK)

What is it?

The inflatable theme park features around 15-20 inflatables, which includes a 50ft high slide, 35ft inflatable helter skelter and a play centre.

The inflatables are appropriate for children between the ages of 2 and 14.

Sadly, if you're over the age of 14 you won't be allowed on the equipment.

The site has limited capacity, so guests will be let in on a first-come first-serve basis.

It will cost £8 per child but accompanying adults can enter for free. All you have to do is turn up on the day and pay for entry.

This cost does not include the bungee, zorbs or total wipeout which cost extra.

Your child will have up to four hours to play and there will be two sessions in the day - 10am-2pm and 2pm-6pm.
