Huge ice cream recall due to ‘life-threatening’ error

  • Blue Bell Ice Cream has issued a recall for its limited edition "Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream" half-gallon cartons.
  • The recall is due to undeclared pecans, almonds, and walnuts, which were mistakenly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough containers.
  • The U.S. Food & Drug Administration warned that individuals with nut allergies face a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
  • The packaging error was discovered by a Blue Bell employee, and although no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported, customers can identify affected products by the code 061027524 on the lid.
  • The recalled ice cream was distributed across numerous US states, and customers are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
