Huge haul of illegal cigarettes seized in Bristol after motorist pulled over for 'manner of driving'

Avon and Somerset Police officers have seized up to £10,000 of illegal cigarettes and tobacco in the Bristol region.

South Gloucestershire Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped a vehicle in Filton, Bristol, due to its manner of driving.

Once stopped, the discovery of illegal cigarettes and tobacco were found with an estimated value of between £5,000 to £10,000.

A photo shared online by South Gloucestershire Neighbourhood Policing Team showed the extent of the different brands of cigarettes and tobacco seized.

Over 50 different products can be counted in the photo released by the Policing Team and it helps show the extent of the seizure.

It's not the only seizure made in Bristol this month as officers seized cocaine with an estimated value of around £4 million from a boat carrying fruit juice at Avonmouth docks.
