Huge haul of heroin worth €70K found hidden in pulley wheels in package at Dublin Airport

Around €70,000 worth of heroin was found hidden in wheels in Dublin Airport.

Officers made the massive bust after checking a package that had arrived from South Africa last Friday.

Inside the package were ‘sample pulley wheels’ which had 650g of the drug stuffed inside.

Revenue say the seizure comes as part of an ongoing operation aimed at drug smugglers.

They said: “Last Friday, Revenue officers seized approximately 650g of heroin contained in a package on arrival into Dublin Airport from South Africa.
