Huge fire breaks out in block of flats near Manor House tube station

A huge fire has broken out at a block of flats near Manor House tube station in north London.

Dramatic video footage shared online shows flames blaring out from the building.

Plumes of black, thick smoke appeared to be billowing from the top floor.

Emergency services can be seen at the scene.

One person tweeted that 'hundreds had been evacuated' amid the fire.

Another spoke of the 'naked flames from the fire'.

A spokesman from the London Fire Brigade told Mirror Online the fire broke out on the sixth floor of a block of flats in Woodberry Down.

"Around 50% (of the flat) is damaged by the fire," he said.

Mum and daughter seriously injured as gas burner explodes engulfing them in flames  

"No one was involved and there were no reports of any injuries.

"The cause is not known at this stage."

The fire is now believed to be under control.
