A huge fire broke out at an industrial building in Cheshire on Tuesday afternoon.
Six fire engines were scrambled to the scene after the blaze took hold of the premises on Tan House Lane in Widnes at 4pm.
At its height, the fire measured 50 metres by 20 metres.
Fire crews used jets and an aerial appliance to fight the blaze through the roof of the building.
There were no injuries reported in the fire and no one was evacuated from their home.
By 6.30pm, a Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman confirmed the crews were making 'good progress'.
But he said firefighters were likely to remain at the scene overnight to dampen down.
A statement on the Cheshire Fire website said: "There is no requirement for any evacuations at this stage and no reports of any injuries.
"However, there is still smoke in the area and residents living nearby are continuing to be advised to stay inside and keep their windows and doors closed.
"Any drivers in the area are advised to keep windows closed and switch off their ventilation systems.
"Tan House Lane remains closed between the junctions of Warrington Road and Page Lane."
