A blaze has broken out at Fife Zoo this afternoon with fire crews currently at the scene.
Four fire engines raced to the zoo after the alarm was raised shortly after 12:32pm on Sunday, July 18.
Dramatic photos from the scene show ferocious flames and smoke billowing from the zoo in Cupar.
Scots have taken to social media with concerns for the animals.
It comes just over a year on from a devastating fire that ripped through buildings at the zoo after starting in the soft play area.
One said: "Aw no not again! Hope everyone is okay and able to get the animals to safely."
Another added: "Another fire. Hope the animals are safe n no one is hurt."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.32pm on Sunday to reports of a building fire at Birniefield, Collessie, in Fife.
“Operations control mobilised four appliances to the scene where a fire was affecting a barn, a caravan and a car.
“There are no reported casualties at this time, crews remain in attendance.”
Visitors were evacuated as the fire took hold and no one is thought to have been injured.
In an update to visitors at 2pm today, the zoo said: "Unfortunately due to an incident on site, we will be closed for the rest of the day."
