Huge Edinburgh crowd breaks into late-night city centre street dance party

Edinburgh locals were spotted breaking into a spontaneous dance party in the early hours of Wednesday morning (September 8).

It is understood that the large crowd was gathered on Lothian Road outside the Usher Hall, with the group seen jumping up and down.

Footage shared by onlookers at the nearby Shakespeare's bar shows the mob cheering in delight.

The revellers appeared to be enjoying watching a drummer, with many seen busting a move to the live street performance.

It comes as we reported how hordes of Edinburgh locals and students flocked to queue up outside a nightclub in the city’s Cowgate this week (Tuesday, with an eyewitness shocked at how busy it was 'on a Tuesday night.')

A video shared on Snapchat showed a huge crowd of partygoers outside the Subway club, with a line of locals stretching as far as the eye can see.

Today (September 9) the Scottish Government is to confirm if they will introduce a vaccine passport scheme.

If approved, the controversial plan could see only those who are double vaccinated allowed into sites such as nightclubs, indoor and outdoor concerts or stadium events of over 10,000 people.
