Drivers are facing delays on a busy Glasgow motorway after animals on the road forced a partial closure.
The northbound M77 is currently restricted at Junction 5, with traffic cameras showing a steady build-up of vehicles moving slowly past the affected stretch, bordered by thick trees on either side of the carriageway.
A Traffic Scotland spokesperson said: “The M77 northbound at Junction 5 is currently restricted due to animals on or near the carriageway.”
Drivers have been asked to plan ahead and look to use an alternative route.
The M77 is a key route into Glasgow from Ayrshire. Junction 5 is just south of Newton Mearns, disrupting northbound traffic heading into Glasgow city or looking to join the M8 in the city centre.
