SteamWorld Dig is two bucks on Steam and you can get its sequel for free, so there’s no reason to miss out on either game.
SteamWorld Dig is a sidescrolling 2D Metroidvania style game where you play the role of Rusty, a mining steamboat robot, going on an adventure digging your way through the old earth, collecting treasures and battling enemies as you continue to dig deeper. The game features a Steampunk Western world full of secrets, surprises, terrors, and, of course, steam-driven robots.
Developed by Swedish video game developer Image & Form, SteamWorld Dig was first released on the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS and has made an incredible impression on gamers and critics alike. Metacritic
rates Steamworld Dig an 82/100 and Pocket Gamer scores it a 10/10. The game was also nominated for “Best Original Game” and “Best Overall Game” by IGN for their Black Beta Select Awards in 2013, just to name a few more of its accolades.

SteamWorld Dig 2 is a new Steampunk Western adventure that picks up right after the events of the first game, now taking on the role of Dorothy, another steam driver robot in search of our first hero, Rusty.

SteamWorld Dig 2 was also nominated for “The Best Switch Game” and “Best Action Adventure Gane” for IGN’s Best of 2017 Awards.
