Huge daytime party to see Gateshead's By the River Brew become disco paradise

It's food market officially opened up again in time for Easter weekend and By The River Brew will soon play host to a very different kind of event.

The massively popular container village on the Gateshead side of the Tyne will be transformed into a Disco Paradise for Block Party: By The River on Wednesday, June 5.

If you've ever been to Block Party at its usual haunt of Grey's Club, you'll know it's a massive deal and you won't have to wait until the sun goes down to get in on the action by the Quayside.

The Facebook event page reads "On Wednesday 5th of June we transport the BLOCK project to one of the coolest, edgiest & most contemporary hotspots in Town, under the iconic Tyne Bridge!

"We'll be transforming the HWKRMRKT Container Community into a Disco Paradise, where y'all be able to kick back & listen to some of the finest grooves the City has the offer!

"Join us as we celebrate a phenomenal debut year of BLOCK PARTY... Oh, & stay tuned for the After Party, where we'll be joined by two very Special Guests..."

While those two guests remain under wraps the DJ lineup has been confirmed. Taking to the decks are:
