Celtic are closing in on the signing of Colombian striker Camilo Duran, who has "travelled to Scotland" to complete a medical ahead of a permanent move from Qarabağ.

The 23-year-old has left the Azerbaijani club’s training camp and is expected to undergo medical checks over the next 48 hours before finalising terms on a long-term deal.

According to Sport Info, Celtic and Qarabağ have agreed a contract structure of three years with the option of a further 12 months.

The exact transfer fee remains unclear, with varying figures emerging across local and Scottish media. Estimates range between £2 million and £3 million, with some sources suggesting a middle ground of around £2.5 million.

However, the report suggests that Qarabag will make a significant profit on the forward, believed to be in excess of €5 million when factoring in their initial outlay and potential add-ons.

Qarabag signed Duran last summer from the Portuguese side Portimonense for less than £200,000.

The 24-year-old forward scored five goals in 10 Champions League matches last season.
