Huge cannabis haul worth £350k seized after raid on Scots house as two men charged

A police raid on a house in East Ayrshire has uncovered a massive haul of cannabis worth an estimated £350,000.

Officers swooped on the property in Lugar on Tuesday morning after being tipped off about potential drug involvement at the home.

The significant quantity of drugs has now been seized by Police Scotland with two men charged in connection with the discovery.

The 29-year-old and 33-year-old were due to appear at Ayrshire Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 28.

A full report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Chief Inspector Nathan Calderwood of Ayrshire Division said, "We know that our communities are concerned about drug dealing and we are committed to tackling the supply of drugs.

"I would encourage anyone with information on those involved in crime in their community to contact us through 101.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
