Huge Bristol pub The Langley Arms put up for sale for £1.5million

A vast country pub on the outskirts of Bristol is the latest to be put up for sale.

The Langley Arms in Emersons Green is an independent inn and restaurant which has been under the same ownership since 1996.

But the business, in Guest Avenue, is now up for sale with an asking price of £1.5million.

The site is being marketed by Christie & Co, which states the pub has parking for up to 50 cars and also includes a period farmhouse with nine guest rooms.

The advert also boasts it is located close to Bristol and Bath.

Situated in a converted 17th century farmhouse, the site provides bed and breakfast accommodation in the residential suburb with shops, pubs and restaurants just a five-minute walk away.

Reviews

The Langley Arms has an overall rating of four out of five on TripAdvisor, with recent reviews proving to be a mixed bag.

Some people have described the food as 'disappointing' but others have said it is of a decent standard, and it's a similar story for the accommodation, with contrasting opinions being shared.

When contacted by Bristol Live, a spokesperson at the pub said they did not want to comment, so it is not known why the owners have decided to sell up.
