Huge blaze at farm in Bolton

A large fire has broken out at a farm in Bolton .

Four fire engines were sent to the scene after the blaze tore through a building at Aberdeen Farm in Blackrod on Saturday morning.

Plumes of smoke could be seen gushing out of the farm as the 50m by 25m blaze took hold.

No animals are believed to have been injured.

The building contained animal feed and a farming vehicle.

The cause of the blaze remains unclear.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 9.25am on Saturday to reports of a fire involving a large farm building.

"The fire was about 50m by 25m. The building contains animal feed and a farm vehicle. Five hose reels are in use."
