Released Nottingham Forest youngster Max Ram has signed for non-league Stratford Town ahead of next season.
The 19-year-old was offered his first professional contract at the City Ground last summer on a day that saw two of his under-18s teammates also handed new deals.
But he has now left the club after making only a handful of appearances for Chris Cohen's Under-23s side this term.
And now, in an attempt to get his playing career back on track, Ram will next season turn out for the Southern League Premier Divison Central side when football returns.
Stratford boss Paul Davis told their club website: "Max is a commanding centre half who has spent almost half of his life at Nottingham Forest.
"He will be a huge asset this season and is someone that will go on to have a big career in football."
