A huge £1m cannabis farm has been found in a disused shop in Oldham.
Police made the discovery during a raid on an 'empty retail unit' on Baxter Street in Hollinwood on Wednesday.
Inside officers found 1,300 cannabis plants with a 'potential yield value of over £1m'.
Pictures posted on the GMP Failsworth & Hollinwood Facebook page show hundreds of plants growing under lights in what appears to be a large basement.
Police posted: "On Wednesday officers from the Failsworth and Hollinwood Local Policing Team assisted by Colleagues from Oldham executed a Misuse Of Drugs Warrant at an empty retail unit on Baxter Street, Hollinwood.
"Over 1,300 cannabis plants and growing equipment was discovered inside. Officers seized plants with an estimated potential yield value of over a million pounds."
Last year officers on patrol discovered a cannabis farm worth £1.5m cannabis farm growing in the nearby disused Failsworth police station.
The building was vacated by Greater Manchester Police in 2013 due to policing cuts.
The entire first floor and loft space had been used to grow more than 1,000 plants, but only root balls, soil and empty pots remained.
A post on GMP Failsworth and Hollinwood's Facebook page said: "It is believed the grow was "taxed" in the early hours of this morning where all the cannabis plants had been removed."
