Huge 12-foot whale washes up on Welsh beach

A 12-foot whale has washed up on a Welsh beach.

Pictures of the mammal, captured by Robert Lyne, show the scene after it was found on Saturday morning.

Robert, 34, said it was found near the St Madoc Centre, Llanmadoc.

Robert said: "I came about it this morning, although someone from the village said it may have been there yesterday.

"We have a lot of storms this time of year and have a lot of debris and stuff washing up on the beach."

Describing what it was like to see, he added: "It's quite shocking.

"We had a dolphin wash up about a year ago.

"That just decayed away until there was just bones and bits left lying around.

"The dolphin is not there now."

Robert said he thinks the whale is still in the area, but he doesn't know if it's been reported to any kind of authority.

"There was quite a strong smell coming from it," he added.
