Huddersfield Town confirm signings of Cliftonville and Glentoran youngsters

Huddersfield Town have confirmed the signings of two of Northern Ireland's brightest young stars.

Sixteen-year-olds  Brodie Spencer and Conor Falls have signed professional deals with the EFL Championship club.

The pair are two of nine new arrivals at Huddersfield's Academy and will immediately join the club's Under 17 ranks.

They will train under coaches Danny Schofield, Jon Worthington, George Danaher and Oran Thompson.

Former Cliftonville midfielder Spencer and ex-Glentoran midfielder Falls visited Town’s Canalside training complex this week.

Both were key members of their respective Irish League academies and both played in Northern Ireland's Under 16 squad.

Cliftonville shared their best wishes to former youngster Spencer following the move.

"Cliftonville Football Club offers best wishes to Brodie Spencer, who has today completed a move to Huddersfield Town," the Reds said on their website.

"A product of the Academy at Solitude, the 16-year-old midfielder made a big impression for both the Olympic and Strollers sides last season and has also represented Northern Ireland at Under 16 level."
