Huddersfield Town boss sounds Liverpool warning after 5-0 drubbing

Huddersfield Town boss Jan Siewert has warned Premier League clubs that Liverpool are only going to get stronger with Jurgen Klopp at the helm.

The relegated Terriers were put to the sword during a one-sided contest at Anfield as the title-chasing Reds won 5-0.

Naby Keita scored inside 15 seconds and then Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah bagged two apiece as Liverpool returned to the top of the table in style.

“We were expecting a difficult night,” Siewert said.

“There were two managers who really like attacking football and you could see that in the whole of the game.

“From the first minute we were definitely on the back foot, but on the pitch we stayed on the first foot and that might have impressed them because the next 15 minutes were ours.

“We had possibilities, corners and chances. That really made me proud. I don't like the result, but that is normal.

“We played against a team that has developed over a number of years with an amazing style of play and it took time for Jurgen to do it. And I think his team will progress even more.

“Big, big credit to Jurgen and what he is doing here at Liverpool. We all know they could punish us."
