(Reuters) - Huddersfield Town have signed Dutch midfielder Juninho Bacuna from FC Groningen on a three year deal with an option to extend for another year, the club said on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old made 94 appearances for Groningen since joining the senior team in 2015.
Manager David Wagner is looking to Bacuna, who has represented Netherlands at under-21 level, to strengthen the midfield following Dean Whitehead's retirement at the end of last season.
"He's an exciting midfielder that offers all the aggression of a defensive midfielder and the technical skills and mobility of an offensive midfielder," Wagner said on the club's website.
