Huddersfield General Election 2019 results in full

The voters of Huddersfield have been braving the the wind and the rain at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting is over for Almondbury, Ashbrow, Dalton, Greenhead, and Newsome.

The seat of Huddersfield has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Labour's Barry Sheerman.

Polls closed across the UK at 10pm on December 12, and a count has been underway ever since.

The 2019 results are below:

New MP is Labour Barry Sheerman.

Breakdown:

Labour: Barry Sheerman - 20,509

Conservative: Ken Davy - 15,572

Liberal Democrat: James Wilkinson - 2,367

Green: Andrew Cooper - 1,768

The Brexit Party: Stuart Hale - 1,666
