HSSC constable recruitment exam case: Man who procured answer key arrested from Kashmir

CHANDIGARH: Kaithal Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a man in the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) constable recruitment exam case.

Raj Kumar, a resident of Khanda Kheri village of Hisar, had first procured the answer key.

Raj Kumar is among the four people who have been arrested by Kaithal Police during the last three days.

Now, the total number of persons arrested in the case in Kaithal has gone up to 17.

Police also impounded the Bolero jeep which had been spotted near an examination centre.

The jeep is found to be registered in the name of the father of a constable.

Karnal Police has arrested seven persons so far.

According to police, Raj Kumar had got the answer key in Jammu and Kashmir and had brought the same to Haryana and sold it to Narender, the main accused.

Raj Kumar had sold this for Rs one crore to Narender who had further clinched a deal with Ramesh of Balaji Academy.

The two sold the key to candidates for Rs 12 lakh to 18 lakh.

Last Saturday, HSSC had started conducting the written tests for the recruitment of constables in Haryana police.

As the answer key of the test was found to have been leaked a day ahead of test, HSSC had cancelled the test and announced to reschedule the same in future.

As of now, 17 people, including kingpins Ramesh and Narinder, have been arrested from Kaithal.

Seven people were arrested from Karnal and two each from Fatehabad and Hisar districts.
