An engineering consultancy has expanded its Midlands footprint by opening a new office in Birmingham city centre.
Nottingham-based HSP Consulting Engineers has launched the office in The Colmore Building in response to continuing large-scale client wins.
HSP has installed a six-strong team led by directors Nick Beecham and Sukhraj Ubhi alongside head of geotechnical Linden Baker and managing director Howard Pratt.
The consultancy, which specialises in geotechnical, environmental, civil, highways and structural services for site development, said it was planning to expand the Birmingham team over the coming months.
Among its recent projects were a new £50 million distribution centre for B&M in Bedford, a £30 million schools scheme in Leicester and a £10 million scheme for the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford.
Mr Pratt said: "We are delighted to launch HSP Consulting's second office.
"The combination of the high number of existing clients in the West Midlands with the swell of schemes from new clients in the region made a Birmingham base an obvious choice for us.
"Offering multi-disciplinary expertise all under one roof provides our clients with streamlined, effective solutions and we have seen demand for our services increase exponentially over the last five years."
