HSE investigating after suspected worm found in food from Ballybrack chipper

The HSE are "fully investigating" after a picture emerged appearing to show a worm in a kebab.

The image, which was taken in Ballybrack, shows the suspected worm in a kebab that they claimed they bought in Palm Beach chipper.

The young woman who bought the kebab says she didn't notice the "slimy insect" until she posted the picture on Instagram and someone replied pointing it out.

They then immediately brought it to the chipper's attention and their money was refunded.

Dublin Live contacted Palm Beach while the HSE confirmed they are investigating after a complaint was made.

A spokeswoman said: "The HSE Environmental Health Service can confirm that it today received a complaint via the Food Safety Authority advice line. This matter is being fully investigated and follow-up action is being taken.

"We take all complaints very seriously."
