Despite a largely empty screen, the boxes in which these essential digits must be entered are so short that you can’t view the whole number as you write it. However, HSBC can’t see a problem because customers get a chance to review their details on the following page. “We welcome any customer feedback that helps us improve our service,” a spokesman says, but they refuse to comment when I ask if your feedback will prompt them to amend this absurdity.
