Human Rights Watch declared as an “apparent war crime” on Friday the attack by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen on Saudi Arabia’s Abha Airport earlier this week.
It urged the Houthis to stop attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
Deputy Middle East director at HRW, Michael Page said that Saudi-led Arab coalition airstrikes in Yemen “never justify Houthi attacks on Saudi civilians,” according to a statement.
Twenty-six civilians were wounded in the Houthi missile strike on the airport on Wednesday.
