HRM Homecare set to hire 100 new staff after contract win

HRM Homecare has announced plans to hire 100 new staff after winning a new contract in west and central Scotland.

The Kilmarnock-headquartered firm secured the contract in East Dunbartonshire to provide care at home to more than 200 people in the local authority area.

It is also expanding its care services into the Cumbernauld area of North Lanarkshire.

The new staff will receive a full induction and be put through an intensive training programme.

They will also have the opportunity to develop their care careers by gaining access to the appropriate vocational qualifications.

Lynn Laughland, HRM's managing director, said: “We deliver the type of holistic person-centred care services that people really want, helping to support people to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

"Over the last three years, and especially during the pandemic, we have continued to invest in our people, our structure and in ensuring we improve the quality of our services.”

Currently HMR has more than 295 staff and provides many thousands of hours of homecare each week across Ayrshire, Falkirk, Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire.
