The Human Rights Information and Training Center (HRITC), a civil community organization headquartered in Yemen's Taiz, has documented 110 violations against civilians in Taiz during April.

Houthis killed 22 civilians including seven women and two children during the shelling of residential neighborhoods – they even committed a massacre that killed six women, two children, and wounded seven females and five children.

Also, five civilians were shot dead by Houthi militia while a sniper – affiliated with the militia – murdered three civilians including a woman and a child. Also, a worker in the field of clearing off landmines was killed when a landmine planted by Houthis exploded.

They also executed two civilians while a child died under torture, the report added. The militia was also responsible for a massacre by which it burnt a house in Hajdah, leading to the death of four of its residents.

The rights center added that unknown armed assailants murdered two civilians while factions affiliated with the Yemeni government army shot one civilian dead.

The field team said 41 civilians were injured including 10 children and 12 women – Houthis caused the injury of 25 out of them. Houthis’ ballistics killed 16 civilians among them five children and seven women while eight civilians among them three children and four women were shot dead by a sniper – affiliated with Houthis.

HRITC, further, documented six assaults by which four of them were committed by unknown armed assailants. Two other assaults were conducted by members of the army, in addition to four kidnaps and arbitrary disappearances by various parties.

The Center has also documented 24 cases of public and private property violations and it tackled the conditions in liberated regions that are still a scene for tension and violations due to the myriad of armed groups in there.
