HP6: Chapters 21-23

YES, MORE SPOILERS

In which Harry takes a drug which makes him feel happier than he's felt in a long time, and deeply empathic towards others. He puts on his dancing trousers, gathers up his glow sticks and, picking up Hagrid and Slugwhatsit on the way, heads off to Hogsmeade to wave his arms in the air and leave an important part of his brain somewhere, somewhere in a field in Hampshire.

Sorry, delirium setting in. He takes the drug, which makes him feel happier, deeply empathic etc etc and decides now is the time to get that darned memory out of Slug's brain. So he gets him sloshed at Hagrid's funeral for his spider Aragog, lays a guilt trip on him about his parents and – hurrah – gets the "long silver thread of memory" about those mysterius horcruxes.

Meanwhile Hermione passes her apparition test and Ron fails. He also continues to fail to shake off the determined Lavender, who is developing distinctly bunny-boiling tendencies.
