Hozier to release special live recording to raise money for ISPCC Childline amid COVID-19 lockdown

Irish singing legend Hozier is set to release the recording of the live performance of “The Parting Glass” to raise money for the ISPCC Childline.

The news comes following the phenomenal reaction to his performance on the Late Late Show on March 27 in an all-but empty studio.

Hozier's spine-tingling rendition of The Parting Glass, which was dedicated to those who have lost their lives to coronavirus, captured the emotions of the nation.

The live recording will be released this Friday online and all profits will go directly to the ISPCC Childline.

ISPCC and RTE 2fm have teamed up with Ireland’s top artists amid the COVID-19 pandemic to host a two-week long digital live music event in support of children in Ireland.

This includes big names like Danny O’Reilly, Wild Youth, Kodaline, Dermot Kennedy, Picture This, Gavin James, Mark Feehily, Walking On Cars, Hudson Taylor, Orla Gartland, Sean & Conor Price, Lyra, Allie Sherlock, and Niall Horan.

To find out more about Childline, go to www.childline.ie. To donate €4.00, text CHILDHOOD to 50300. The ISPCC will receive a minimum of €3.60 of your donation.
