How you can get your Covid jab if you're 16 or 17 and live in Swansea Bay

Teenagers aged 16 and above in Swansea and some even younger can now get vaccinated against Covid.

Swansea Bay Health Board is offering appointments at both the Bay Field Hospital off Fabian Way and the Margam Vaccination Centre.

The health board is also contacting parents of clinically vulnerable children aged 12-15, to inform them how they too can book their appointments.

A health board spokesman said: "From Wednesday, August 11, we’re inviting everyone over the age of 16 who hasn’t had a first dose to come to a drop-in session at one of our mass vaccination centres. Anyone who comes to one of these drop-ins will be given the Pfizer vaccine. You do not need an appointment to attend, just turn up".

Anyone taking up the offer of a vaccine does not need to visit the centre which is closest to their home, but can go to the most convenient one to them.

The drop-in sessions will be taking place on the following dates and times this week:

Bay Field Hospital:

• Wednesday, August 11 – 10am to 6pm

• Friday, August 13, – 9am to 7.40pm

• Saturday, August 14 – 9am to 7.40pm

• Sunday, August 15 – 10am to 6pm
