How you can eat out for less in Leeds this week as restaurants offer menus from £5

Diners will be able to eat out for less in Leeds for one week in August as a special week of offers are announced at venues across the city.

Eat Leeds is bringing 'restaurant Week' back to the city this August from Monday, August 15 to Sunday, August 21. It'll bring specially crafted menus to favourite restaurants across Leeds that range from £5 to £25.

More than 30 restaurants have already been confirmed to be participating in the restaurant week and offering deals. The selection includes fine dining, street foods, pubs and more.

Some of the participating venues include Ambiente Tapas, Mans Market, Zaap Thai, Manahatta, Gusto, and Fleur.

First Bus is also participating in the week - and is offering those using the Eat Leeds deals £2 flat fares to travel to the restaurants participating. Eat Leeds and First Bus hope the cheaper bus fares will help people struggling with the cost of living and fuel prices, as well as encouraging people to use public transport.

Amy Rolinson, Manager of Eat Leeds said: “The Leeds food scene is thriving and the city has a reputation for being the foodie capital of the north. So, with that being said, what better way to showcase our city’s tremendous food scene than with a week-long celebration of fantastic food offerings, giving Leeds foodies the chance to taste what’s on offer across Leeds.

“Plus, Restaurant Week can play a crucial role in boosting the city’s economy during the summer holidays and restaurants traditionally quieter periods, attracting more visitors to Leeds by creating exclusive dining opportunities at an affordable cost.”

She added: "At Eat Leeds we are very aware that Restaurant Week is launching during a time when diners may be finding their living costs rising. Restaurant Week provides exclusive dining options at the fraction of a cost, but door-to-door, customers may experience other expenses, specifically travel costs.

"That’s why we’re thrilled to have First Bus as our partner for Restaurant Week this year. Thanks to their Single £2 Flat Fare tickets, we hope that more diners will be able to visit Leeds for less. This includes Leeds locals, as well as a broader audience from across West Yorkshire who can enjoy the fantastic food offerings Restaurant Week has available.”
