If you have an Amazon account, then you'll know that every so often there will be a range of offers or discounts to help you save on your pennies.
Some of these include small 'free' credit or short-lived promo's and, while they may not result in a huge saving, they are always worth checking if you qualify for.
That's why lead writer Jenny Keefe at the Martin Lewis founded MoneySavingExpert.com has shared a couple of genius hacks to check if you would be eligible for a 'free' £6 credit with your Amazon account.
Writing in the edition of the weekly MoneySavingExpert.com newsletter she says, "Amazon's short-lived promos are often only available to selected accounts, so it's not always easy to know which offers you can get.
Handily, there's a hidden page on Amazon's site which shows you all the short-lived offers you're currently eligible for, as long as you're logged in."
She goes on to explain that once you are logged in, simply take a look at your 'personalised' promotions page. You can then activate any offers you want to use.
Jenny also went on to list some of the best short-lived promos that certain Amazon members may be able to get a hold off which we have outlined below.
Free £6 for some when topping up your Amazon balance by £50.

The money saving expert explains that Amazon users may be able to get a free £6 to spend when you buy £50 of Amazon top up credit through this Amazon link.
This is where you add funds directly to your own Amazon account balance. It's valid for 10 years, so this is essentially £6 free credit as long as you'll spend £50 on Amazon at some point in the next decade.
Amazon says you should be eligible for this offer if you meet the following criteria:
- You haven't topped up your balance in the last three years.
- You have made a purchase at Amazon in the past 12 months.
- You add at least £50 to your Amazon account via Top Up by 11.59pm on Friday 31 December .
The 'free' £6 will be automatically added to your Amazon account balance – you'll get an email to confirm this has been done.
Some credit/codes Amazon gives can be quite restrictive in what they can be used on, but this one isn't and can be used regardless of the seller (so Amazon AND third-party sellers, though you can't use it to buy gift cards or towards the cost of Prime membership).
Free £6 code for some when buying £60 of gift cards
Similar to the deal above, Jenny also explains that you can check if you are eligible for a £6 discount code on future purchases after buying £60 on Amazon gift cards by visiting this Amazon link.
The difference with this deal, is that you won't be topping up your own account, rather you will be purchasing gift cards, which you can use for yourself.
Amazon says you should be eligible for this offer if you meet the following criteria:
- You haven't topped up your gift card balance in the last three years.
- You select the 'Click to register for the promotion' button at the Amazon website.
- You buy at least £60 of Amazon gift cards in a single order by 11.59pm on Friday 31 December . If scheduling an e-gift card, it needs to be sent by that promo end date.
The 'free' £6 will be automatically added to your Amazon account – it says you'll get an email to confirm this has been done within 48 hours.
The code is valid until 11.59pm on 14 February 2022, only on items sold and dispatched by Amazon (not third-party sellers), excluding gift cards and Amazon Warehouse items.
