How WWE fans reacted after Shane McMahon’s death defying WrestleMania win over The Miz

WWE medics immediately attended to Shane McMahon and The Miz after an epic finish to their WrestleMania match.

In a death-defying stunt to finish their falls count anywhere match, McMahon was dramatically superplexed by his rival from over 30ft high off of temporary scaffolding and onto a boxed landing below.

The sold-out crowd could not believe what they had witness, with chants of ‘Holy sh**’ echoing around the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

And they were equally stunned when it emerged that the ‘Best in the World’ McMahon had emerged as the victor.

With both completely dazed, it was unclear on who had applied the winning three-count cover.

But it was McMahon who emerged victorious in a controversial - and mind-boggling - finish.

One fan wrote on Twitter : "Shane McMahon is still taking crazy bumps at 49. Dude is insane.”

One said: "Shane McMahon is a rich middle-aged son of a billionaire, he's not a competitor. Yet he keeps putting his body on the line for us. The guy is ridiculous."

And another posted: "It isn't WrestleMania without Shane McMahon jumping or falling off something high.”

Many fans think that the ‘controversial’ finish means The Miz is not done with his rivalry with McMahon.

The Smackdown Live boss, and son of WWE owner Vince McMahon, attacked The Miz’s father during the match.

WWE medics were quick to the scene at the finish, however, and managed to help both competitors to their feet.

While their bitter feud may not yet be over, the pair will almost certainly need some time to recover after putting their bodies on the line.
