How would League One look if points-per-game were to decide the outcome of 2020-21 season?

It's fair to say nobody wants to see a repeat of the League 2019-20 season which was decided by unweighted points-per-game.

However, with the coronavirus causing havoc in League One over the festive period, there have been calls to introduce a circuit break, or alternatively - extend the season.

Sunderland were among the 11 clubs in the division to have fixtures postponed over Christmas and New Year.

With no end to the virus in sight, a season extension seems the most likely outcome - with the majority of League One clubs unaffected by the Euros later this year.

But, with a new strain of the virus already affecting parts of the UK, a season curtailment is not out of the question.

It would no doubt be the last resort, but what would the League One table look like if it were to finish today?

Lincoln City would be crowned champions of the division, something that no one would have predicted at the start of the season, especially not Imps fans.

Accrington Stanley would be the side with the most to gain from a season curtailment. They would leap up out of the play-offs and into the final automatic promotion spot.

As for Sunderland, a fourth season in League One would be the outcome of another inconsistent campaign.

Here's how League One would look if it were the be decided by unweighted points-per-game
