How Wolves could line up against West Ham with Bruno Lage missing trio of key players

West Ham won at Molineux last season for the first time in 12 years following a poor recent run against this weekend's opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Hammers took six points from Wolves last season having previously lost their last four matches against the team from the Black Country by a combined scoreline of 8-0.

A 4-0 hammering at the London Stadium and a thrilling 3-2 win away from home put that unwanted record to bed and David Moyes will be keen to continue West Ham's fine run.

A win for the Hammers would see them move into second spot for at least 24 hours with Manchester City not due to play until Sunday afternoon. At the time of writing, bar the long-term absentee Angello Ogbonna, Moyes has few injury worries and is expected to name his settled Premier League XI with the inclusion of Craig Dawson to replace the sidelined Italian.

Bruno Lage does not have the same luxury with a trio of first-team players set to miss out against West Ham.

Wolves have a number of long term absentees including Jonny Otto, Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao with none of the trio playing a single minute of Premier League football this season and all three will miss out versus West Ham.

Wing-back Fernando Marcel was a fixture in the Wolves team until injury struck in game week eight against Aston Villa.

The Brazilian has missed the last three matches but Lage is expecting the 32-year-old to be available for selection this weekend. However, following a few weeks out the defender is not predicted to be in the starting Xi but more likely to start as a substitute.

With Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek providing West ham with great strength and height in the middle of the park, Leander Dendoncker is expected to return to the starting XI to counter the Hammers threat.

Predicted Wolves XI in a 3-4-3 formation: Sa; Kilman, Coady, Boly; Semedo, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Traore, Jimenez, Hwang
