How will the Titans go about adding defensive linemen in 2019?

The Tennessee Titans are in the market for a pass rusher as they prepare for the void left by Brian Orakpo and Derrick Morgan.

With the mid-March free agency period and the 2019 NFL Draft quickly approaching, there are a couple of ways the Titans could go about addressing the issue.

The Titans have met with a number of defensive linemen, including Charles Omenihu, Houston defensive lineman Ed Oliver and Mississippi State defensive lineman Montez Sweat.

Tennessee also spoke with Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.

Some of these players are expected to be chosen at the top of the first round, so it’s unrealistic that the Titans would be able to snag them with the No. 19 pick overall.

So, the Titans meeting with these players could have little meaning, or it could mean that the general manager Jon Robinson has plans to trade up like he has in past years.

It’s also just as likely that Robinson has other plans to add a player through free agency and forgo making a pass rusher a priority in the earlier rounds.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see what 2019 holds given the GM’s history of unpredictability in past drafts.
