How will Man Utd line up vs West Ham? Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial set to miss out

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are losing their race to be fit for Manchester United’s trip to West Ham.

Daniel James also faces a late fitness test as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to take a depleted squad to the London Stadium on Sunday.

Pogba (ankle) and Martial (thigh) are still to return to training after suffering injuries before the international break.

Luke Shaw is definitely out as he continues his recovery from a hamstring.

James suffered a knock in last weekend’s 1-0 win against Leicester, which ruled him out of Thursday’s Europa League clash with Astana – and Solskjaer will assess the Wales international before West Ham.

The United manager said: “He's not trained the last few days. Hopefully, but not sure.

“We'll have a recovery day with everyone (Friday) and we'll see on Saturday.”

Solskjaer is aiming to secure his first away win since Paris Saint-Germain in March.

Despite identifying West Ham as genuine challengers for the top six this season, he insists the London Stadium holds no fear.

“Why should we coaches be concerned?” he said. “We're looking forward to things, looking for solutions.

“I've never been concerned about anything really. I don't walk around and worry about things. I'm looking what we can do to improve. I've never been a worrier.

“I think we should've won at Southampton. I think we should've won the Wolverhampton one. Both should be wins.

“It's still the same size pitch, green with white lines, some fans. You've got to block out the mental part and play as you would in the park.”

On West Ham, he added: “Last year we were lucky to beat them. It'll be a good test again for us.

“We've had two clean sheets now, that'll give the defenders confidence. If we can keep a clean sheet, it'll be easier for the strikers. You don't have to score twos, threes and fours every time.”

Man Utd predicted lineup

[4-2-3-1]: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; Matic, McTominay; Pereira, Lingard, James; Rashford
