How will Liverpool line up vs Chelsea? Georginio Wijnaldum set to replace James Milner

Naby Keita has returned to full training ahead of Liverpool resuming their Premier League campaign at Chelsea.

However, with the Guinean still some way short of match fitness, he remains a doubt for Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

Asked for the latest news on Keita, Jurgen Klopp said: “Naby Keita is back in training at least, with the team. Today for the first time with the team.”

The same goes for striker Divock Origi, who picked up an ankle injury during last weekend’s win over Newcastle United at Anfield.

On the Belgian, Klopp added: “Div, we have to see day by day, that’s how it was from the first day - how can he deal with the pain and stuff like that.

“We will see. It is pretty early, so I don’t know exactly what the medical department will tell me [today] about that case.

“I think it’s unlikely [he will be fit for Chelsea] but why should I rule him out? But it’s unlikely.”

Liverpool have no new fitness concerns ahead of their visit to the capital, with goalkeeper Alisson Becker their only other short-term absentee yet to return.

The Brazilian sustained a calf tear during the Reds’ opening-day win over Norwich, but is making steady progress in his bid to get back on the pitch.

Klopp commented: “Ali is making big progress, but is still away. He had a proper session yesterday with John Achterberg, but is not in team training yet.”

As such, it seems likely that Liverpool will name a familiar big-game line-up when they take on Frank Lampard’s men..

Liverpool predicted lineup

[4-3-3]: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Mane
