How will Liverpool line up against Newcastle? Divock Origi set to start after international break

With Egypt and Senegal's full teams currently not scheduled to return to action until November, Jurgen Klopp had no need to fret over the fitness of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane ahead of this weekend's visit of Newcastle.

However, the German may face a difficult decision over the pair's partner in crime, Roberto Firmino, who has spent the last week featuring in two friendlies for Brazil over in the United States.

The striker's busy schedule could well present an opportunity for Divock Origi, who has not started for the Reds since scoring in their opening-day win over Norwich City at Anfield.

Elsewhere, Klopp may look to counter a deep-lying Magpies defence by adding extra creativity to his midfield in the form of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who should be fresh having clocked up just 13 minutes of action while on England duty.

Predicted lineup

Liverpool XI [4-3-3]: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Salah, Origi, Mane.
