How will Crystal Palace line up against Aston Villa? Jordan Ayew and Andros Townsend to start

Jordan Ayew was handed a rare chance to stake his claim to be the main man up top for Crystal Palace during the win at Manchester United and he grabbed it with both hands.

The striker, who made his loan move from Swansea permanent over the summer, bagged his first goal of the season in front of the Stretford End and fought for every single ball, doing well to bring others into play.

Both Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham were given the chance to offer their reply against Colchester on Tuesday night. Neither stepped up as Palace were knocked out on penalties by the League Two side following a 0-0 draw.

There were glimpses from debutant Victor Camarasa on Tuesday that he could bring something different to the Palace midfield, but against Aston Villa it would be a surprise to see Roy Hodgson change things up too much from the side at Old Trafford.

With the Eagles back at home, expect Andros Townsend to come back in.
