Frank Lampard will have to weigh up the relative fitness levels of N'Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Pedro ahead of Chelsea's visit to Wolves.
Kante has been struggling with an ankle problem all season and missed France’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Albania and Andorra to recuperate.
Rudiger has played for Chelsea’s Under-23s as he looks to rediscover match sharpness following a knee problem and could return given the Blues are still looking for their first clean sheet of the season.
Pedro is a doubt with a hamstring problem sustained in last month’s win over Norwich while Lampard will hope the thigh injury Emerson sustained on international duty with Italy is not serious.
The initial prognosis was promising.
While he was away with France, Olivier Giroud expressed his concerns about a lack of playing time under Lampard but the Chelsea head coach will surely find it difficult to drop Tammy Abraham after his brace against Sheffield United just before the break.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James will play for the Under-23s tonight.
Chelsea predicted lineup
(4-3-3): Kepa, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Barkley; Pulisic, Abraham, Mount.
